Since introducing the Diploma in Level 2 in the mid-nineties, ENA Care Group has consistently embraced advancements in care training. As a result, we have exceeded the stipulated training requirements, continually striving to equip our carers with skills and knowledge that exceed the basic standards. Over the years, we have worked hard to ensure that every trainee is fully supported through our innovative and comprehensive training program, which provides the theoretical and practical experience needed to deliver the best possible care.
One of the cornerstones of our commitment to training excellence is providing accommodation and transportation for our trainees. Since the beginning, we have prioritised accommodating our trainees locally, ensuring they are close to the training centre and the support they need. Every morning, one of our trainers uses the company’s trusted VW transporter to pick up the carers from either the local station or their accommodation, ensuring they can focus on their training without commuting. At the end of each day, the transporter returns them to the exact location, providing convenience and safety.

Exceptional Training Program: From Basic to Complex Care
The training offered at ENA Care Group is widely regarded as one of the best in the sector. We provide a structured approach that covers everything from foundational knowledge to more complex care procedures. This approach ensures that every carer is equipped to handle the diverse challenges they may face when looking after clients with varying needs.
Our training program includes a series of key workbooks and competency assessments designed to equip carers with the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to succeed in their roles. Some key themes addressed in our training include:
Bowel Care and Management: Several workbooks focus on the essential knowledge of bowel care, including the anatomy and physiology of the digestive system. Trainees learn about bowel management techniques, common issues such as constipation and impaction, and procedures such as DRE (digital rectal examination), DRS (digital rectal stimulation), CRS (Chemical Rectal Stimulation), and DRF (Digital Removal of Faeces). In addition, one workbook includes a competency assessment document to ensure carers are fully trained in providing bowel care.
Medical Procedures and Equipment: Our carers are also trained in the use of medical equipment and advanced procedures. This includes workbooks covering mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, medication administration, and related procedures such as suctioning and using a nebuliser. Competency assessments are included for procedures like PEG feeding to ensure carers are fully capable of providing complex care safely.
General Health and Safety in Care: Our training extends beyond medical procedures to focus on overall health and safety in care settings. Workbooks cover vital topics such as health and safety legislation, infection control, moving and handling techniques, safeguarding vulnerable adults, and managing challenging behaviours. Other modules include pressure prevention and care, stroke care, and the importance of maintaining a safe environment for both carers and clients.

Award-Winning Training and Support
Our commitment to innovation and excellence in training has been recognised within the care sector, with ENA Care Group receiving an award for our comprehensive and forward-thinking approach. The training program is designed not only to meet but exceed industry standards, and the results speak for themselves.
At ENA Care Group, we pride ourselves on having a team of dedicated trainers who are always available to answer questions and provide guidance to our carers. Whether they are new to the industry or looking to enhance their existing knowledge, our trainers are there to ensure that every carer has the resources and support they need to provide the best possible care to our clients. We understand the vital role carers play in the lives of the people they support, and we are committed to ensuring our carers have the skills and knowledge to make a real difference.
Our training program is continually evolving, driven by our desire to provide the best care and support to our clients. As we look to the future, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards in care and training, ensuring that ENA Care Group remains a leader in the care industry.
